We have some new and exciting ranges arriving in store. Since 2021 we have been looking to expand our clothing range to included classic pieces that will fit into everyone’s wardrobe, and now we've found them.

The focus of the new clothing collection is on pieces that help create a classic capsule wardrobe and that can transition between the seasons. The new range features one size pieces that suit sizes 8-18+, with relaxed to fitted styles.  You may have already seen the jumpers and wraps that have recently arrived

If you have visited in the last couple of weeks you will have seen the installation of our new shop fittings into our Caldbeck shop in preparation for the new arrivals. 

Handmade by local artisan Paul from Forge & Forest, the new floor to ceiling metal and wooden unit was commissioned to fit perfectly into our space. Using steel and locally sourced timber, Paul has helped us make the best use of the space. The unit has been specifically designed to hold fashion lines we are now stocking in store.

Hooded Waistcoat

These lightweight, long-line cotton hooded waistcoats are so versatile and easy to wear. This classic piece works so well because it looks smart yet feels relaxed. Team it with tailored pants, smart joggers or jeans, we love it with a classic stripe top for an update on the classic look. Available in black or navy.

 

 

 

 

 

Classic Stripes

Stripes have been a timeless fashion staple for over a hundred years. It’s a style that never goes out of fashion and looks good on any age. This now classic stripe was first introduced into the French Navy uniform in the mid 1800s, but it was the queen of understated elegance, Coco Chanel, who popularised the look over a hundred years ago.

In 1917 Chanel launched a new collection, inspired by her holidays and the sailors of the Rivera. It featured a simple blue & white stripe top, cementing the stripe patterns fate as a fashion classic.

Every generation since has icons of style, music and cinema sporting the classic Breton stripe including  Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O, Bridgette Bardot, Jean Paul Gautier, Pablo Picasso, Kurt Cobain, Madonna and the Duchess of Cambridge to name a few.

A fundamental staple of every capsule wardrobe a stripe jumper is the classic we all need. In store now we have three classics to choose from black, blue or red stripes.
